How to make sure your wallet is safe?
If you forget your password or need to import wallet to a new phone, you’ll need a Wallet Recovery Phrase known as the Seed Phrase.
What is a seed phrase?
It’s series of words generated by JustPay Wallet during setup. It acts as a backup key to access your wallet and its contents if you forget your password, lose your device, or need to transfer your wallet to another device.
It’s crucial to write down this phrase and store it securely, as it cannot be retrieved again. This is because we don’t allow any third parties to have access to your money. It’s all in your hands.
- You use it when you forget your password: It’s a unique set of 12–24 words generated by your crypto wallet during setup. This phrase is crucial for accessing your wallet if you forget your password, lose your device, or need to set up the wallet on a new device.
- The order of the words in the phrase is important for recovery. Make sure to write them in the exact order.
- Store it on a piece of paper: It’s vital to store this phrase securely and offline (like on a piece of paper in a safe) because if lost, you cannot access your wallet or its contents, and it cannot be recovered by Decard.
- Extra security: It’s more secure than regular passwords as it’s randomly generated and not stored centrally, making it hard for others to access your wallet.
