Tagion Mainnet is approaching, 4th community meetup and first use case
We’re gearing up for a significant milestone: the launch of its Mainnet, set to go live this year.
We held our 4th Community Townhall this week, where we shared roadmap updates, answered community questions and showcased Aecorn.io - the first use case being built on the Tagion system.
The Road to Launch
The road to Mainnet has been paved with meticulous testing and finalising the system’s last crucial components. Tagion’s launch criteria focus on milestones, operational readiness, and the real-world utility of the system:
- Testing: We’re testing rigorously to ensure that no illegal minting and double spending can occur. We’re confidently on track with these essential criteria.
- Operations: The team is meticulously preparing for Mainnet. This involves community engagement, the collection of public keys from early adopters, and ensuring wallets are both audited and secure. Further instructions will be made available soon.
- Real-World Utility: To catalyse demand and adoption, Tagion is focused on onboarding real-world utility cases for launching products on the network, including initiatives like Aecorn.
Post-Mainnet Plans
After the Mainnet launch, the focus will shift towards expanding distribution across more nodes and external nodes. With this progressive approach we aim to mitigate potential attack vectors while preparing the community with comprehensive guides on how to become a node operator. Though there’s no set date for this transition, Tagion is actively working on reducing barriers to entry for node operators.
Long-Term Vision
Looking to the long term, Tagion envisions a 15-year trajectory, involving five years to launch Mainnet, five years of adoption, and a subsequent decade dedicated to launching a new monetary system.
Our mission includes bootstrapping the demand for the native token, TGN, by creating innovative applications with real utility. This grand vision might take up to a decade to materialise, but it’s good evidence to our commitment to a sustainable digital economy. Because good things take time.
Aecorn: Invest in Credible Nature Restoratoin Projects
Aecorn is an environmentally conscious project that seeks to address the pressing issue of climate change. Led by CEO Jacob Nathan, Aecorn is pioneering a unique pilot case in nature reforestation, combining technology with environmental restoration.
Aecorn allows companies to invest in nature restoration projects, enabling the conversion of agricultural land into permanent forests. These projects are legally mandated to remain forests forever by EU regulation. The system also manages the transfer of ecosystem services, such as carbon uptake, which companies can use for credible sustainability reporting.
The transparency, traceability, and credibility of these projects depend on Tagion tech. Aecorn serves as a solution to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, offering a forward-looking approach to environmental conservation.
Tagion’s Mainnet launch and Aecorn’s green initiative signify a new paradigm in distributed tech. With a robust plan, a commitment to long-term sustainability, and a focus on addressing real-world challenges, we offer exciting prospects the community.
